The journey begins in Shkodër, a northern city rich in culture, Ottoman-era architecture, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Departure is at 07:30 AM from Hotel Rozafa, located in the heart of the city.
The scenic drive to Koman Port takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, including a short stop for refreshments. The road winds through remote mountain landscapes and follows the course of the Drin River, revealing a quieter, more authentic side of Albania—one shaped by nature, tradition, and history.
At 09:30 AM, board the ferry for a remarkable cruise across Lake Koman, often described as sailing through a hidden fjord.
This 1 hour and 20-minute journey is surrounded by towering cliffs, lush green mountains, and secluded bays. Every turn offers a postcard-worthy view and perfect photo opportunities. By approximately 10:50 AM, the boat arrives at the stunning Shala River, accessible only by water. Often called “the Thailand of Albania,” this remote destination is celebrated for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, dramatic canyon walls, and unspoiled natural beauty.

At 16:00 PM, depart from Shala River by boat, heading upstream toward Fierzë Port. This 1 hour and 40-minute journey is calm and reflective, as the sun dips behind jagged cliffs, casting a golden glow over the river.
Arrival in Fierzë is at approximately 17:40 PM, where ground transportation awaits.
At 18:00 PM, the scenic transfer continues by road toward Valbonë, the heart of Albania’s northern mountains. After about 45 minutes, guests arrive at Valbonë around 18:45 PM.
Nestled between soaring peaks and dense pine forests, Valbonë is the perfect conclusion to the day. Whether you plan to rest in a cozy guesthouse, prepare for a hike across the Valbonë Pass, or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air, this alpine village delivers serenity and natural splendor.

At 09:30 AM, you’ll board the boat heading to the Shala River.
